Mary Collins, left, receives a special President's Award for Outstanding Media Coverage, a token of appreciation for the many years she has dedicated to working with the Newton County News and provided the Newton County citizens with professional and thorough coverage of all news and public service articles.

Rev. Joe Miller, left and wife Cathy, right, were honored with the Outstanding Community Service Award for their hours of volunteer work for the residents of Newton and Newton County.

Serving dinner to over 200 guests, members of the Leo Club worked hard throughout the night and assisted in cleanup also.  The Leo Club is comprised of youth members of the Lions Club.
